CeeDeeOhh

Ceedeeohhh,Cagayan de Oro City or whatever you may call it,has been a quite booming town until a tragedy happened late of 2011,wherein the City was hit by the super typhoon Ondoy and a number of people died, lost their homes, their families, their belongings and their livelihood. A simple city who had that rough time was able to rise from it,and what has happened had been and eyeopener to sam.
I had to wait until September 2012 to be able to visit the place and as well as attend a wedding. I came unprepared to be honest and it was only in the airport that I knew that the place was also known as the City of Golden Friendship.

I was used to the airport in Manila and Cebu that I was really shocked and amazed of how simple the airport was but then again who cares, they're building a new one(a bigger and better airport I heard), from the airport down to the city we had to ride a cab as there is no other means of transportation there unless if you have someone pick you up and the ride takes around 30 minutes or so, I got to enjoy the view( I guess that's what I normally do when it's a new place for me).We went straight to what they call us Divisoria,i assume it's the town proper coz almost everything is there and guess what we were welcomed with a sight of a fun run( that's what you get when you have an early morning flight),since we were too early to check in to our hotel we had the liberty to tour around the place looking for the boutique of the wedding designer as i had to do my final fitting for my gown and we also have to look for a salon to do our nails,we hired a pedicab all to ourselves for a cheap price to look for those two places.

after all the morning fun we now have to go to the hotel to check-in and hopefully to take some rest and wait for the rest of the gang,I was amazed of how peaceful the place was and how far the hotel was from the city, coz we stayed at the Marco Hotel,it was a good one though except for the fact that at that time they don't have medicines for my toothache and they don't have a clinic and not to mention they do have some horror stories(well yeah we had our share too),other than that I liked how the breakfast was served, how quiet the place was and how private the pool was.

second day we had to prepare for the wedding,i guess everyone was excited and nervous as to how everything will turn out after all the preparations.the couple has been my friends for almost 3 years now, they've been together for 8 years and just like any regular relationship they too have there own share of ups and downs, but I guess it really is truly love as they were able to overcome it all and was back in the arms of each other.I guess what I've learned from these two is: it is okay to get hurt as it is part of loving but then know how to forgive and let love, trust, respect and friendship be the foundation of you relationship and surely it will never fail.

third day: it was purely a rest day I get to enjoy the pool and bond with friends, you know what I like about out of town trips?it's the thought that you get to relax and enjoy all at the same time. this was also the day that we had to buy all our pasalubongs for the people at home and get to tour the city more.overall my CDO trip was a trip worth remembering, even without the white water rafter, the Dahilayan adventure what matters to me is I am with the people that is close to my heart and has and will always be part of my journey in life.
